Private Tours Of Paris Museums & Monuments
Bespoke private visits of Paris museums

As a Louvre School Graduate, where students use all 9 miles of Louvre corridors and most Parisian museums as study material, I am most familiar with Paris' cultural offerings.
Years ago, showing these to my American cousins made me realize that sharing knowledge was fascinating. Fifteen years ago, when I started giving tours of the Louvre, from the outset, it had to be like I would have if the roles were reversed: private and a conversation, not a lecture.
Although I am the one supposed to know art history, I found it most enlightening to ask what people see or think in front of an artwork. Hearing questions from people from all walks of life (from a man who had never set foot in a museum in 50 years to an Art History Ph.D.) meant I kept learning every visit.
So many first-time visitors fear that they 'don't know anything.' It has been a privilege to help them 'get it.' I keep saying that art is like wine.
On the one hand, you don't need to know anything to appreciate a glass of wine.
On the other hand, if you want to widen your tastebuds, you'd better ask a sommelier. A private museum tour can be as relaxing as discussing fine wine with a friend who happens to know about wine.
Over the years, seeing visitors' faces filled with tears has been a joy—usually in front of Leonardo da Vinci or Vincent Van Gogh. So, it's about sharing knowledge, emotions, and laughter.
Selfishly, I do not want to find going to the Louvre or other great museums boring. If it bores me, it will bore you. That's why an Art Journey private tour is a conversation that starts before you fly to Paris—have you been there before? What do you want to see? Where are you going?
Having a long experience organizing Paris museum visits means being able to advise you on the best day and time to see places while avoiding crowds.
Nowadays, most museums and monuments impose timed entry, but there are solutions for privileged access without reservation and specific entry. These can only be organized if planned—two to three months ahead.
A private museum tour aims to help you learn without realizing it by having an enjoyable moment. Turning imposing monuments into intimate strolls and conversations is reflected in how I write the Stories here.
Not just from reading books in the library, but also from the great learning I get when talking to people of all ages and backgrounds.
